On November 22, SHINTS held an opening ceremony for the park and daycare center at its Ethiopian factory.
After two years of construction, the Ethiopian factory now features approximately 20,000 square meters of recreational space, including two mini soccer fields, a basketball court, a tennis court, and benches, as well as daycare facilities that can accommodate up to 300 children. Additionally, it is in the process of building extra dormitories and plans to soon open housing specifically for single mothers.
At the ceremony, SHINTS Chairman Cha Minho stated, “Our first goal is to operate a sewing factory with a workforce of 30,000 in Ethiopia, and we aim to expand to a scale of 100,000 employees, growing into the largest sewing company in Africa.”
